Makayla A. Hughbanks

As an Assistant Property Manager, Makayla is known for her detail-oriented approach, strong work ethic, and genuine love for meeting new people. An Iowa native, she combines a deep interest in commercial and multifamily real estate with a unique background in marketing and brand strategy.



Makayla graduated from the University of Iowa, where she majored in Enterprise Leadership, minored in Media Management, and competed as a student-athlete on the Swimming and Diving team. Serving as a team captain and competing at the national level, she developed exceptional discipline, resilience, and leadership skills that she brings to her professional life every day. Her degree program emphasized teamwork and real-world application, allowing her to gain hands-on experience consulting with local business owners and investors in Iowa City. Over the last three years, she has applied this entrepreneurial drive to help local businesses, including two startups, expand their online presence through tailored brand strategies, video editing, and digital growth initiatives. Her ambition and love for learning extend beyond the office; she holds her private pilot’s license and enjoys attending airshows to stay connected to aviation.

In her free time, Makayla embraces both her adventurous and creative sides. She has a passion for interior design and enjoys enhancing spaces to make them feel inviting and inspiring. She also enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, working out, and painting. Outside of the office, you can usually find her exploring Omaha, hosting events with her friends, or discovering new local coffee shops.
